A pack of eight 0.8mm thick birch guitar picks – or ‘plectrums’ as those in the know call them. Each one is 36mm x 26mm and is engraved with a design from a talented Stamp Press designer. The designs are laser engraved into the surface of the pick and do not rub off.
Those who have used them have said that the engraved designs provide a good grip whilst playing and the wood gives a lovely tone. The pre-cut hole in each one is also handy for running a cord through, so each one can be used as a pendant, keepsake or to make jewellery with. In fact, jewellery making with this is very popular.
We’ve also had feedback to say that the edge of the pick needs a little smoothing if you’re planning on playing with it – you can either do this with a light buffing or it will happen naturally over time through use.
Each pick is made out of a high grade, durable wood from sustainable sources – which means, as a natural product, that they may contain occasional small knots or imperfections which have been filled. Of course, if they didn’t then it wouldn’t be natural wood and wouldn’t be quite so charming.
Every pick is laser engraved and cut and so may have a delightful ‘smoky wood’ aroma on receipt – unfortunately, this will fade fairly quickly. You may choose to give the pick a very light sanding / buffing but many people leave them untouched for that authentic look.
