Here we have the brilliant Squier Affinity guitar package in Candy Apple Red. Here in the HSS style (Humbucker, SingleCoil, SingleCoil) you get a versatile instrument with a fantastic package to help you on your way. If you’re just starting out as a beginner then this is the ideal package for you if you want to learn how to play the electric guitar. Great sounding and comfortable with all the bits and bobs to back it up. So if you like Rock, Blues, Jazz, Country and more then this is ideal to get learning on!
The pickups in this squier by Fender Standard Stratocaster are in the HSS format so there’s one humbucker and two single coils. The bridge humbucker really allows you to get some nice punchy tones by driving your amplifier. For some nice strat spank the bridge pickup is ideal, add a bit of drive though and it gets scorching! The middle pickup gives you those sounds of Lynyrd Skynyrd or John Mayer, those idyllic cleans. The neck pickup is incredibly smooth and sounds brilliant clean or with a bit of drive. The Stratocaster is a pretty versatile guitar so you can expect to play any style you like on it!
Along with the instrument is the brilliant little Fender Frontman 15w Amplifier which has two channels and an 8″ speaker, a clean and an overdrive. The cleans are really clear and chimey, just what you’d expect from a Fender Amplifier.
The drives are also really good and there’s plenty of gain, an ideal little starter amplifier. For 15 watts it’s really quite loud, more than loud enough for at home and probably loud enough for a small rehe
